Our Verdict
Finding the right filler for a high-quality anime cushion cover can be surprisingly difficult, but the Dakimakura Core Hugging Pillow aims to solve that problem. I tested this insert for several weeks to see if it holds its shape as promised during regular nightly use.
Performance & Build Quality
The build quality is impressive, featuring materials that resist flattening even after significant daily pressure. It maintains a consistent, full shape that fills out a cover perfectly without leaving unsightly empty corners.

Setting up the pillow is straightforward; it slides into most standard covers with ease and provides a firm yet plush feel for hugging. It has become a reliable staple in my bedroom, proving both comfortable for sleep and supportive enough to keep my favorite covers looking their best.
This is the ideal choice for anime fans and collectors who need a long-lasting, reliable insert to fill out their body pillow collection.
